Here are some of the rumors floating around the Court of Carriages. As with all rumors, their veracity may be questionable....

Glamour is jealously protected because it is so rare...
The Court of Carriages has dropped several notches in prestige since the Resurgence because Glamour has become so thin.
Count Airlyn has made good on his policies to collect uninherited sources of Glamour. In addition, if a new source of Glamour pops up, he has it acquired for the Court, or else places a guard over it.
Count Airlyn welcomes all newly Chrysalized Fae with great joy, and mentors them as soon as possible. He has been known to make very wise choices for mentors, and is usually open to letting the Fae who discovered the new Chrysalant be mentor, if desired.
Count Airlyn is viewed as reasonably fair by those who live in the County, although he has tended to side with Nobles in some complaints.
The current Commoner population is about 200. There are 10 Sidhe, all of whom are knighted to Airlyn.
Count Airlyn, while rather stingy with Glamour for most of the year, really opens the floodgates on Fae holidays. He is known throughout the state for the parties he throws.
Most Commoners belong to Guilds. Membership is usually along Kith lines, but there are exceptions. Some of the more notable guilds are:
- The Knocker's Engineering Guild
- The Boggan Mechanics' Guild
- Brotherhood of the Axe (Trolls)
- The Detroit Street Thugs (Redcaps)
Each Midsummer, there is a huge festival at Mikel Thunderfist's freehold in the country. This festival is used to show off Fae craftsmanship, including chimercal weapons, Knocker engineering, martial arts, hotrods, etc. There are games, food, dancing, and basically one hell of a party.
Mikel Thunderfist and Count Airlyn view each other with cool respect. Mikel has harbored fugitives from the Court in the past, claiming his right to maintain his freehold as a sanctuary. However, Count Airlyn recognizes Mikel's wisdom and knows that the Troll is an important ally.
Mikel and Count Airlyn both share a great love for the preservation of Glamour, so they've found themselves on the same side of a battle more often than not.
Count Airlyn has built up quite a collection of Glamourous items in his freehold. It's rumored that it is protected by a dragon, which is his personal pet. No one has seen this dragon, but Count Airlyn and his personal guards all carry shields made of dragon scale. In addition, Count Airlyn's armor is made from dragon scales, as well.
It's said that the place to go for chimerical items is Snarly the Knocker. They say that he'll make anything for a price.
Bloodgut the Redcap is the toughest, nastiest street warrior in the County, and any of the surrounding Counties. He and his motley are available for hire if you need someone intimidated or worse, but it may cost you an arm and a leg, literally...
The new director of the Flint Cultural Board, Wellsby Weatherford, a Boggan, has challenged the Count more than once on his policies of acquisition of Glamourous items from the museum collections. Wellsby's security system has actually stopped a few of the Count's acquistion attempts, or so say the rumors.
Maleficious knows everything. Everything. He even knows stuff about you that you don't know. If you need answers, he's the one. But, by Odin's Blood, he gives me the willy nillies... It's like he enjoys scaring people. It's said that he likes little kids, too. Keep your Childlings away from him, if you ask me...
